DEVELOPING THE NEXT KPR GENERATION

Keens Park Rangers fully understand the importance of encouraging young players to ensure our progression and longevity as a club.

Over the past few seasons, we have established an important link with Guildford City Boys and Girls FC – specifically a link with their youth team who play in the Allied Counties Youth Football League.

There has always been an unspoken link between the two clubs, starting over 10 years ago, after a large number of City’s league winning youth team of 2011 joined KPR. Given Guildford City lacked a reserve team, KPR, in offering these players a chance to continue playing, and developing, together have become the natural route from youth to senior football for many of City’s players – although anyone is welcome to join.

From our 2 active teams, there are over 25 ex & current Guildford city youth team players with ages ranging from 17 to 30 in our squad, with the majority of these players involved with our first team. This shows we are a club that understands the importance of youth development, and that development is never limited. We have had several players to go on to play at much higher levels and we will always push and encourage them to do so. We want our players to grow with our club, not only as footballers, but as people; with fantastic coaching, a great club ethos and footballing environment we are able to achieve this.
